What are good websites to help me find my dad?

hi my names Ben and im 21 years old
im trying to find my father who I have never seen nor met and im finding it quite hard. I have little information about him all I know is his name (which is a really unusual name) and that he was or still is a builder and that he lives/ed in Leicester.
I've already tried the usual approaches such as the electoral roll (the ones that are free) genes reunited and the phonebook I've even tried facebook and myspace but nothing has turned up
I feel like I need to find him to find out where I come from and to settle my curiosity
does anyone know of and good websites to help me try to find him?
