My cat has just recently started to pee on the bed, what is wrong?

One of my 2 cats has recently started to pee on the bed, I have not changed partners.we keep the litter box clean. I took them both to the vet and nothing is wrong with them. We have moved recently, but this was a problem at the old apartment but not...

with the bed, it was the couch there. We went through 3 couches..its getting to be more expensive to have animals, but I cant just give them away after having them for 5 years. What is wrong here???

my cats used to do this, the vet told us it was a territorial thing. my bunnies also went through this. are your cats spayed or neutered? after we got my pets fixed, they didnt have this problem anymore..

Sounds like it's time to get out the spray bottle...when you catch them in the act, spray them with water - they'll eventually get it.

If it's a real problem, start closing your bedroom door so they can't go in there anymore.

make sure you use an oder eater so they dont continue to pee in the same spot .. most of the time if they smell the scent they will do it again ...washing with vinager water should do the trick .

Get them fixed if they arnt. Thats not always the issue but it could help. You need to get the smell out of your bed, where the is pee there will be more pee. They might not be dealing with change well. Also is there maybe someone in the house that might not be the most loving to the cats? My dad stayed with me for awhile and he hated my cat, while my cat knew it and started peeing on his stuff. Just his no one elses. My dad left and problem solved. My dog also went thru this phase. He would get mad when I left him home alone and pee on my bed.. Well I stopped allowing him on my bed PERIOD. Not even when im with him and he stopped. Good luck
