my built in webcam isn't working

My built in webcam isn’t working on my laptop.. it just says no webcam detected! How can I make it work? Is there something to download online?

Mine does that sometimes. If I really need to use it, I just restart my computer and that usually works. Maybe you can call the manufacturer and ask how to work it

the exact same thing happens with mine too. but only with some things it lets me use my webcam offline and some things it lets me use online but not on facebook or cameroid.com etc. does anybody have a good answer? answer by jax doesnt work. mine wont work when I restart it.

check your imaging device, usually on device manager (right click on my computer then “manage”) if your built -in camera is detected but not yet functional ‘cause it needs driver. Another is if you explore your my computer, you should be able to see icons for webcams and cameras.

This isnt fair! My friend and I were dancing around but she thought I was dancing to some 30 year old dude and got someone to disable my camera. I can’t even find it on Manage devices or anything. PLEASE for the love of god help me!

It wont even show when I click on My Computer and Manage and all that, It was working fine, until I rebooted my computer, then after it stopped working and everytime I click on the webcam it says check webcam settings then it wont even let me look at the settings, so it’s pretty annoying.
