My bestfriend cares to much about me...

my bestfriend cares to much about me well me too I care a lot about my bestfriend but I say a guy's name and he asked me questions like if he is going to kill the guy he is like my dad about boys he has to know the guy and he tell me who the guys I can and cant go out with... but I know why he is like that its because one day my boyfriend (know xboyfriend) yelled at me like hell he saw me crying and my boyfriend not careing about it so my bestfriend tell me a lot of things so I can be happy and now I know he cant see me cry no more but I told he its ok but he said I care to much to see you cry so now I dont know what to do help please someone tell me what I can do or say to him???
