my nephew is 18 months and had this a couple of weeks ago! Still give him milk, if she doesnt want it she wont drink it will she! But try and keep her in her routine (thats what the doctor said to my sister) Give her plenty of water or dialuted juice, we gave my nephew lots of Ice Cream becuase he had a temperature aswell and he loves his ice cream! On a couple of occasions he wasnt eating or drinking enough in a day so we was advised to give him a slim fast, even though its a dieting food it is classed as a full meal and was better than nothing, ask your doctor whats best for her though becuase this was suitable for my nephew at the time, and you don't want to make your little princess ill Hope shes back on her feet soon! Lots of water and try and give him milk though!!

ok, the one problem with children and gaterinterstus is the loss of fluids... forget about milk, the only important thing to get down her is fluids...

if she has it for more then 12 hours you should call your doctor...

dehydration is the main concern with babies...

Absolutely no dairy, I can't believe the DR. would say that, ever hear of gatorade give him that for his fluid + water for 24 hours, he can eat, cooked carrots, bananas, toast with jam(no butter)granola bars, chicken soup, crackers, meat, do that for 24 hours, it will replenish his body of electrolites, that that the diarreah has lost, I,m surprised he was'nt hospitalized with dehydration, you never take any dair why with the runs not for 24 hrs, than after the 24 hr, program give him yogurt to put the friendly acidophilus in his body .

Right now your baby is loosing fluids really fast and if she or he looses too much, it could be fatal. First of all get the baby gatorade to restore fluids. Also, you need to be responsible and call a doctor for advice.

Best of luck

there is a drink for babies and toddlers called Pedialyte (it's like Gatorade but made for babies). That would be the best thing to give him. Also no dairy and try to not give too much juice (the sugar in it makes it worse, even if it is 100% juice). Water, toast, bananas, anything with fiber would be ok to give. Make sure he gets lots of liquids though. They also make Pedialyte popsicles (my kids all said they are really good).

Good luck and if it goes for more than 12 hours or gets worse, call the doctor.
