The legal age is 19 in alabama but I read somewhere if you are 17 and have your parents permission that you can move out. Is this true? also when you turn 18 is it legal to move out or do you still have to be 19?

ALABAMA LAW:

Age Emancipation petition allowed: "minors over 18 years of age"
§ 26-2A-20; Code § 26-1-1
Age of Majority: 19
§ 26-1-1

It indicates the 'age of majority' is 19, so 18 would only be legal if: permission or emancipation order from the Court.

Contact your local 'Clerk of Court' office and they can advise you on the 17/with permission question..I wish you the best !!
