Yes do it the normal way and go and earn a living at a job. You could put some away each week so you still have some to spend and then you will save better.

I guess the answer if very obvious (get a job) but do you need that amount in a certain amount of time? Maybe your question should have been, "What's the fastest way to earn $8K?"

Get a job, sell dvd movies on the side (easy to do and makes good side income), sell something else on the side (keep it downlow), move in with your parents, eat from the grocery store, get rides everywhere from your friends or parents, never ride with more than $10-20 in your pocket, when with friends, stay out of the club and buying drinks!, focus on just GRINDING for at least 2-3 months and save all of your money.

First of all finish high school, then go to college and get a degree and you will find a good job that pays well. If you happen to be a pharmist you can make $8000 in 1 month.
