Memorial/funeral music??!...

its meee(: Asked by thefunone08 about 1 year ago, 11 answers.

OK soo, I need some suggestions a year ago on april 7, my best friend died in a car accident, she was 16. Well they have made it a tradition (started shortly after the wreck) to have a benefit dinner in her honor to raise money for a scholarship...

fund.
I was asked to sing something at the dinner, but im not so sure what to sing.
Not meaning to sound cocky but I am a good singer so no worries on that.
I can do pretty much any song you throw out there. From carrie underwood to leona lewis to taylor swift.
Well anyways I neeed suggestions like baddd. (:
Thannkks!

ah im really sorry to hear about the loss.

black dresses by The Spill Canvas would be a great song..if you re-created some of the lyrics..
youtube or limewire it though. and see what you think.

I sang when You're gone at my mom's memorial service last year when I was 13. The year before that I sang Livin' on a Prayer because her name was Gina and she loved Bon Jovi =]

This year I think I want to do Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen or Helena by MCR. Gerard and Mikey wrote it for their Grandma who died so it was writting exclusively for this prupose and I love My Chemical romance. =]

ITme of Your Life by Greenday is really popular as well as My Immortal by Evenesance which I though about doing this year.

My Sundown by Jimmy Eat World could be a good choice. Or, even better, why not sing her favorite song?

Just saying, if it was my service, I wouldn't want everybody to by crying and upset. I would want everybody to be laughing and remember how free spirited I was. Go on that, yeah?
