Mefenamic acid 250mg cap for periods

well I been prescribed to Mefenamic acid 250mg cap for bad periods I was just wondering what it does has anyone took it and does it really make periods lighter and less painful and I took it like 2days ago because I was feeling crampy and I didn't know...

if my period was coming on but it was just pre-menstrual is that going to affect me?

Myself and my bestfriend both have a prescription for mefenamic acid and we find it really helps with the symptoms AKA bad cramp during our periods, we have been taking them for a while and have had no problems , I think you will be okay taking them for pre-menstrual pain as long as you are sticking to the correct dosages per day.
