Should cheating be against the law?

Asked by looyalty about 1 year ago, 13 answers.

I think when you are married, and somebody cheats,it should be against the law,and treated like any other criminal case, with a punishment...I think marrages would last longer, people wouldnt cheat as much, and their wouldnt be so many bogus marrages...what...

do you people think.yes or no...peace

I think the jails would be packed... lol. It's illegal in some states but not enforced. Probably in the same states where it's illegal to buy a vibrator.

Talk about a repressed society. ohhh man. Legislated to death. What's next, the Thought Police?

Yes I agree, maybe everyone would live a lot happier and people would think twice before cheating.

I don't think it should be against the law - there are so many worse things out there. If you really know the person well enough before marrying them, the chances will be lower of getting cheated on. People are getting married way too soon and for the wrong reasons and thats what causes a lot of those problems. I'm not saying if you have been together for a long time and really know each other, you wont get cheated on - I'm just saying chances are lower if you get married when the time is right. I'd say 70% plus people get married too early, and thats just setting the marriage up for failure.

I agree but it does not seem right, because even though I think its wrong to cheat on someone, you have to spend the rest of your life with the person you probably don't love any more. you might love them for the first part of your marriage but then you began to see there true color well in other words I agree I guess lol.

Well it is a good thing law isnt based on religious texts or we'd still have slaves, and women wouldnt be allowed to talk in church...

I think that would result in an incline of murders. lol

As a woman who technically cheated at the end of her marriage, I disagree.
It's hard enough to get a divorce!

I think that would result in a paranoid society where noone would marry or everyone would almost have to wear blinders so they cant be accused of cheating.

Heh... yeah, we should continue to let the rapists and child molesters out of prison early, to make room for the marriage violators dildo smugglers...
