Making extra money for the holidays

Asked by brighteyez about 1 year ago, 1 answer.

Well, here I am again, the holidays are quickly approaching and I like usual, I'm BROKE!!! I'm almost 16 and that's more than old enough to be getting small gifts for my immediate family and close friends, but like I said, I'm broke. I am applying for a job, but they don't need employees at the moment, so I wouldn't be hired until much after the holidays. Any online survey sites or ANYWAY to make money fast? Please help!

If you live in a larger urban area, there should be seasonal jobs at department stores, grocery stores, etc, if you have any experience in that field it should be relatively easy.

Not that I'd recommend lying on a resume to get a job, but if you get "creative" then you might be more likely to acquire one as well. According to a wall street journal article I read, the response rate for the question "have you lied on a resume to get a job?" was nearly 50%...just something to think about.

Call centers also take applications from just about anybody, for doing telephone surveys, telephone marketing or telemarketing, etc. The online stuff such as surveys typically requires you to be over the age of 18. Also, most online programs wouldn't pay you till after the holidays either as most ones I'm familiar with take a while to pay.

To help find other odd jobs, see if there is a http://craigslist.or... city site in your area. Good luck.
