How to tel him that I like him when I'm shy?

ok I am in love wit this one guy and he likes me according to my friends. the thing is that he wont believe my friends that I like him. he wants me to talk to him. well I'm shy and he is shy so how do I tell him wit out sounding like a freak.

If you really like the guy you should just approach him and talk to him.
He likes you so it won't really be a problem.
Be confident and everything will be okay.
If he still doesn't believe that you like him, he's not worth it.
