if she looks up to you and likes to do what you do then eat healthy and exercise and she will do what ever you do
my cousin is 9 and she loves doing whatever big kids do
or you can tell her the truth and sow hre pics of older kids who are overweight

Do fun things like, activities outdoors or ike riding together, take her to the park, adn make her foods fun, use healthy foods (the tastey ones anyway) and tell her after every meal she has she can have ONE treat. just tkeep her going, it might be a hard thing to do, but at least you will be helping her.!

well I know that little kids are just like little sponges. they obsorbe things that you do so you can work out and get fit and watch her get healthier too. Just make sure its fun and not too boring or they will not do it.

Positive motivation, show her how much fun outdoor activities are. introduce her to tasty healthier foods, fruits, smoothies, juices.
A good technique to curb hunger: eat slowly.
Teach her to eat her foods more slowly, she'll learn to savor the taste rather than stuff herself, and learn that she can eat less and still enjoy eating through moderation.

        Simply a Rose to brighten your day,
        And maybe lessen the cares in your way;
        And also, too, to help you to know,
        That in knowing you, many others grow!

I don't think I would worry too much about it her age, just set an example of good eating and exercising habits.

As she grows, her height may increase to account for the weight gain, plus as she becomes more aware of boys, she may start realizing more how good eating and exercise habits are important to her.
