Why won't limewire work?

this is really frustrating me!
I've downloaded limewire like 6 times and every time I do it never works!
I get it all set up then type in a song and it doesnt search
my sister downloaded it for me twice and she done it the same way she did for her computer which works for her but not me!
I noticed in the bottom left hand corner only one of the bars was green and the rest were red!

please help it is so annoying!! lol

hey, I was having the same problems, it was saying it cant connect to the gnutella network or something, do you by any chance have norton antiviral software on your computer? thats what was stopping mine, I tried to download from bearshare too but norton blocks almost everything! I uninstalled norton completely and put avg free instead and I've been problem free ever since

You Can Try Ares. http://aresgalaxy.sourceforge.net/ It is almost like limewire and maybe better than limewire.

limewire the only problem I've had with it is if I dont take all the tracks and vids out the shared folder before I shutdown my pc every thing is converted 2 zip or that files not useable anymore what connection are u useing eg. dsl or modem or adsl and have you clicked on connect otherwise download another version mabe it a corrupt one that you keep downloading

hello I need advice I just got a new lap top with vista ..limewire keeps loading never finish loading I try to search but I get the message wait until limewire finish loading...anyone knows awhats wrong, use to run xp never had that problem
