How do i fix a leaky tap?

Boring question I know but my tap is leaking so bad,I think it could be the washer just wondering if it is easy to change it and how to do this??

I'm no Plumber, but changing a washer is childs play. Turn the water off at the stop tap so there's no water coming into the house, (you normaly find it under the sink). Turn the tap on (the faulty one) to run off any access water out of the tap. Unscrew the body of the tap, with your hands, use a spanner or wrench, to loosen the nut. The top of the tap should come away, Remove old washer, replace it with a new one, put the tap back in, tighten the nut up, screw the body back on, water back on at the mains. Job done..
