How much does an lcd backlight cost?

My computer fell down my stairs and the backlight blew out. Does anyone know where I can buy a new light and about how much it costs. I saw a site online that says its cheaper than $20.; Help

You really don't need it, it will make your computer run hotter and you'll waste more electricity.

Well if I don't need it how will I see my computer screen. If it came with the computer then it should probably be replaced
