Lateral thinking riddle

There is a guy who is standing in front of a pool filled with sharks. These sharks are very hungry and the bloke is tasty. However the man makes it across the pool unscathed. How does he do it.

pool filled with sharks no water in the pool so he can cross easily...!

Rubber sharks? Basically not real, so he could get in push past them, get past OR
There is a ladder (or plank etc) he walk's across it atop the sharks OR
He isnt real (the man I mean) OR
He has superpowers OR
He is a Twilight Vampire =]
