laptop wont play sound

my hp laptop wont play sound, what should I do?

You need to check your sound card and see if there is anything wrong with it. If so, you could always get a new one. Otherwise, I’m not sure. You could also take your laptop back and see if they can fix it to where you could get sound. Or, go to your settings and see if your sound is turned off. If that’s the case, then you’re good. Otherwise, if it’s your sound card, get a new one or take it back and see if there are any other problems.

Hey jes it could be the video sound card has died.

Or it could be another problem I have a presario and my sound doesn’t work properly it crackles the tech guys over the phone told me how to fix it cause at that time it was still under warranty 2 weeks later it broke again and was no longer under warranty!

get in there and figure out go to the main sound page and use some magic cause you will be pissed if you money to gt it fixed and it is not broke

First, check your volume if is mute, unmute it..

if not try this,

right click on my computer > and select manage, on the left column select>Device Manager, then on the right side see if it has a yellow question mark on the sound, video and game controllers… If you saw a yellow question mark, it means that the driver for your sound card haven’t installed yet. Find the correct cd driver and installed it…
