Is there a way to make vista recognize the full 2gb again?

My laptop, running Vista Home Premium with SP2, has 2GB of memory. However recently I noticed that it had been running a lot slower than normal. I clicked on system in control panel and it told me that I only had 1GB of RAM. Is there a way to make vista...

recognize the full 2GB again? Thanks.

Try reinstalling it take it out and put it back in if its not recognizing it then maybe the memory is defective and needs to be replace.

I took out the memory and put it back in again and after about the 5th try vista recognizes the full 2GB again. It really does make huge difference in terms of speed. happy
