Kids having kids is what they call it

talks about young parents this and that. Why do people frown upon us having a child together?is it because of our age?

it might be because your young
but really your not as young as a lot of teenagers who have a baby
there are a lot of 13-16 year old with kids
and your not as young as them
you shouldnt worry about what everyone else thinks though
if you have a baby and your happy, thats all that should matter

Do not even bother listening to the naysayers.

18 is an exceptable age to have children. It's when kids who are 13 or 14 have children people frown upon. I'm against it because they have (in my opinion) sabotaged their futures. At 13 a baby is the last thing you should want - school and getting a good education so you can get into college and be able to get a well payed job to support yourself is most important! I feel sorry the the baby aswell since most likely the father will not stick around and it will be it's grandparents who raise it because it's mother is too young and incapable of taking care of it herself. This is just my personal view on the matter so please don't argue about it

I had my baby at the age of 19 don't let anyone talk you down you are a great mum .I use to get down on people looking at me but I really dont give a dam I know I am a really good mum and people should not judge a book by its cover !!!

It just depends...but they really shouldn't be frowning on you, seeing how you both work, are trying to get an education and are doing what you should be doing.

Most people say babies having babies when the mother lives off welfare and doesn't attempt to do anything with her life to better her life and better her own childs life chances.

It depends on the person, most people at your age aren't ready for children. Also most people find it strange because at 18 they aren't even nearly ready for children. (for example - the thought of having children at my age 21, is really disturbing to me)

But hey, if it works, it works. You're just one of the few who didn't mess up their lives.
