Keloid scars

my friend had surgery on her shoulder about two years ago, and now she has a keloid scar. for those of you who don't know what that is, it's a raised scar that is somewhat hard...and trust b e told it sorta looks finger shaped...

conscience of it, and I really really really want to help her with it...

she is scared to wear tank tops, and she always wears t-shirts to cover her shoulder. I know she feels depressed about it, and I don't know what to do to comfort her. She is such a beautiful young lady, and this scar is making her hide from everyone in a way...I remember she used to be so outgoing...

has anyone heard of a way of reducing these kind of scars?

make up won't work because it's raised and rather rubbery looking...

Keloids?
