Unfortunately, the questions disappear for a few reasons
1) they break the rules, repeatedly, and then everything they did on the site gets deleted
2) they request that a question gets deleted
3) only a single one of their questions broke the rules, which was then deleted
Some things we really don't want people to get help with - eg, starving themselves, trying to hack a website for malicious reasons, etc. 99.9% of the time, the questions that disappear are in this bucket.
Though I do appreciate you wanting to answer when you get an email

I received an email to answer a question and when I clicked on to answer it the search page came up w/upteen questions. I have had several of those this week. I went through 12 pages and never did find the question so just gave up. Why not leave the...
