What is the best supplement for joint pain?

Both my regular doctor and my orthopedic surgen told me to take Glucosamine Chondrotin for joint pain. I was cautioned to stick with a name brand because store brands are not always pharmacutical quality or have the claimed potency. My Dr. reocmmended Osteo Bi-flex. Does it actually work? I don't know but since both of my doctors told me I should take it I do. My wife's arthritis doctor is skeptical of glucosamine condroitin and says it is a waste of money.

i dont know whats a good supplement for joint pain, ive tryed the glucosamine and this chon,whatever ,i took it for 2 months, i didnt feel anything diffent,so what actually is good for joint pain,especially if u cant even walk,if u know what i mean??

I am 28 and have had problems with my joints for over ten years, I was to embarrassed to talk to my doctor... I finally did because my joints have been increasingly more painful. I researched on my own that HYALURONIC ACID and Vitamin D which is actually not a vitamin at all work best... My doctor did agree and since my mother was recently diagnosed with connective tissue disease, that may the cause of my problems as well and is being looked into... Since Taking Vitamin D and The hyaluronic acid after a couple weeks I have noticed a difference...
