Jehovah witnesses don't believe in blood transfusions?

Is it true the Jehovah witnesses don't believe in blood transfusions?
I read something about this online off their website and I was just wondering if that's true?

see the reason they dont accept blood transfusions is bc blood is life
and the bible says that we cannot take anyone elses life..
so doing it is against the bible principles..try contacting them or reading about it at

Yer they do, they think the body is pure and sacred and putting somebody elses blood/organs etc inyou is making you impure and against god or something like that.

This my far away friend will help you understand, Acts 15 v 29, Paul is telling us that the holy spirit ( Jehovah) does not want to make serving him a burden but he does ask a few things from us one is " To keep abstaining from blood"

There are many other things you can have instead of blood, Doctors are also learning that blood transfusions can be very dangerous, There are dozens of things that have been brought to the doctors attention by the hospital liason comittee that are part of jehovahs orgonisation that doctors are using themselves now in day to day practise.

Blood transfusions are a choice for people but Jehovahs Witnesses want to live there life by bible standards so whatever jehovah asks of us is done.

They also trust Jehovahs promise that dead loved ones will come back in his new system,

Living by the Bible's standard is what the Pharisees tried and that is living under the law. None of them could live perfectly by ALL 600+ laws. We ALL fall short of the Glory of God.
Live under Grace from the atonement of Jesus and all these things will come to you. By living under Grace, we WANT to do the will of God and it is like saying, "faith without works is dead." But we know that in this world, it is not about me, everything is about God. Jesus Christ removed Himself from Glory, took upon Himself humbleness and lived on this earth as a man, showing us how to live for Him, Our Heavenly Father.
Even His disciples ran away from the cross. There was not even one, no not one who stayed with Him till the end, except His mother.
And why is it that women went to see if He was still in the tomb on the third day?
They got to hear the angel speak that He had risen and is among the living.

It also says in Mark 7 v 15, Its not what goes into your body that defiles you; you are defiled by what comes from your heart.

Jehovah Wittnesses also believe that Jesus wasnt God. But it says in John 1 v 1, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word WAS God.

The scribes and pharisees were false prophets, And were not able to follow jesus commands, Hence the reason the why had jesus put to death.
John 1 v 1 is mistranslated and by the original translations should read,

"In the beginning the word was, And the word was with God, And the word was a god"

How does this scripture make sense?? John 1 v 18 " No man has seen god at ANY time"

John 20 v 17 Jesus speaking to mary says " Stop clinging to me. For I have not yet assended to the farther...I am ascending to my father and your father and to my God and your God"

Jehovahs Witnesses simply live there life by what the bible says

you never finished the verse. it reads ' no on has seen God. But the one and only Son is himself God and is near the fathers heart. He has revealed God to us.'

And there hundreds of scriptures thats prove Jesus is God.

I dont take away the fact that JW's have the rite to believe in whatever they want, same as anyone else, im just pointing out were it contradicts what I believe.

Yes.. you are correct about that scripture.. but think about it.. saying someone is someone else is pretty common.. I can say I am mom, meaning I have a lot of qualities she has.. People do it all the time.. Remember the bible was written by humans, for humans so saying something like "but the one and only Son is himself God and is near the fathers heart. He has reveled God to us." , Doesn't necessarily have to be taken literaly. By them saying he has reveled God to us , they were not saying he is God or anything like that.. Just he has made us know who God is , most likely by his actions. He is a mirror image of God. God is his father.. A lot of sons are just like their father.. it is normal. Just think about that for a bit please.
