im a proud athiest for many reasons
I dont beleive in any god or religion
and find the christian religion in particular to be a giant load of bullsh*t
I also think its a horrible and disgusting thing for children to be learning
because all god ever does in the bible is condem people and kill them
so far the christian god has killed billions of people
all because he either felt like it or because they sinned against him
and now hardcore christians and religiouse fanatics not only preach crap to everyone who doesnt want to hear it but some do his bidding by starting horrible amd sinnister cults, that make it there job to convert people and to kill people or make them kill themelves
because they think thats what god wants
again, im proud to be an athiest
I respect what people CHOOSE to beleive in, but I dont respect every religion
and I certainly dont respect chrsitianity because I dont agree with anything it says or teaches (it also offers no sex education, something almost all children today lack)
but I respect that they can CHOOSE to beleive in whatever they want to
however no, I dont think children should be learning about christianity
there are millions of other religions out there
most of which dont beleive in a god whos hell bent on killing his people
but if they do want to teach kids about religion its important to also tell them that they dont have to beleive in a religion at all if they dont want to
and to also teach kids about science (which has nothing to do with religion) and about athiesim
also a lot of preists end up being phedophiles, those people have to surpress there sexual desires and drive, which is one of the hardest things a human can do because were all sexual beings
physical pain is one thing that can supress it
but a human mind alone is unlikley to
which is why a lot of them (while teaching other people about how sex is wrong) end up having sex with the people or kids there teaching
