he had to tilt her head straight so she wouldn't choke when she passed out behind the wheel of a car

maybe that was her spit, cause I heard that some mentally disabled kids cant sleep lying down or they'll choke on theri own spit

I think you can. I don't know if I remember right, but I think when I was like 8 or 9 I heard my uncle saying that some kid on his football team (he was in college at the time) got hit really hard and it knocked his tongue back and he swallowed it. my tongue looks big enough that it would block my airway, so im saying yes, you can choke on your tongue.
