Is there laser treatment for scars?

Is there and does it work? How much would it cost? Do I need it if my scars are faded from using other things, but I need them gone because some one asked about them yesterday and I didnt have an excuse, so I need them gone a lot

There is a laser treatment, but it doesnt always remove the scar, just makes it fade a bit. And just tell people you had an accident or whatever... Or just say it happened a long time ago, or when you were young... most people will know when to drop a subject...
