Is there ever a good time to leave your boyfriend?

Queen of Spam Asked by artteacher2010 17 days ago, 1 answer.

My boyfriend and I have been together for over 3 years now and I'm done with thinking that he is going to change. He's an alcoholic and drug addict, but worst of all, it's like I have to walk on eggshells around him. He's always yelling and cussing at...

me and expects me to do EVERYTHING in the house while he lays around. I'm not perfect but I'm sick and tired of it! I want to leave now but thinking about waiting after the holidays because of the kids. We don't have any together but I have a little girl and he has two boys. I'm afraid if I leave now it will ruin their Christmas. They are the reason I've been here this long but now I can tell that even my daughter isn't happy.

Do you think I should leave now or after the holidays?

I think it depends on how bad relationship is and how well you get along. If he is a a drug addict and alcoholic as well as verbally abusive then I would advise to leave him as soon as possible. Not only is this hard on you but on your little girl too since she also has to deal with his mood swings and problems. Of course Christmas will be difficult but rebuilding a life is always difficult. So, why not start anew now? You could have a nice quiet X-mas with your daughter, family or friends instead of being miserable with him.
