Is sly three for playstation two too violent for kids?

I was thinking of buying sly three for ps2 for my son, but he's only five, so not sure if it's age appropriate.

I've played sly 2 myself, but didn't let him play it because it's not age appropriate (he didn't get to watch me play either, etc). He has Finding Nemo game, and saw the cover to Sly, so was asking about it.

Violent games have been linked to violent behavior. Even if this "sly two" game seems OK to you, it might not be so OK for your child.

On the other hand, I really like the PS2...but, I'm not a kid

I dunno, if you want a consol 4 kids, game cube is the one to have as there are loads of kiddy games on it, it is your desision as a parent, I saw on a program wiv robert winston 'child of your time' where he looks at a kid who plays violent computer games. however, it didnt seem to affect his behavour towards other kids. then again, in america, there was a horrible story of 2 10 yr old kids who after playin violent computer games, got their fathers gun and started shootin random people in the street.
I wood wait until hes a bit older dude.
