Sex doesn't show a person that you really love them. Care and understanding, being there when you need them and having mutual things in common.
My boyfriend is a Christian also and we are waiting until we are married. We already know that we love each other. We don't need sex to tell us that.
***Sex is G-d's gift to married men and women.
yes, and that can be a brother and sister married to each other (Gen. 4:17; 5:4)
or
a man married to his half-sister (Gen. 20:12)
or
a man married to eight wives at the same time (1 Chronicles 3:1-9)
or
any number of combinations...
what a bit of biblical trivia...
anything goes...as long as you are married...
Certain types of sex are taboo in certain ascetic religions (like Christianity, Islam, and Judaism). But non-ascetic religions typically have no sexual hangups.
I think that's one of the reasons for the popularity of neo-paganism. A lot of people like the whole 'higher power' business, but don't like being told to keep their pants on.
no of course not,sex is not forbidden in christianity if it was among the married couple.Marriage is a holy bond between one man and one woman and sex is the pleasure of that holy bond.
to utopia:
please please for the love of God differentiate between the old testement and the new testement.because there is a big difference between living under the roles of moses and under the grace of jesus.all the answers of how to live the real christian life can be found in bible the new testement in the letters(corinthians.gelatins...)
***please please for the love of God differentiate between the old testement and the new testement
Sorry, sorry, I keep forgetting that the Old Testament does not count...
But wait...in Matthew Chapter 19 it is said...
4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
So Jesus quotes the words of G-d from the Old Testament, but you think the Old Testament should NOT be quoted...
Here it is guys..a christian who knows better than Christ...
lara1980...a little video you might enjoy...
actually the rest of you might like it also...

uhm?
have you ever read this part of the bible? or did you just make it up that the old testament wasnt relevant...
Matthew 5:17: Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
And since I will be accused of not taking this in context, here is the rest... according to Jesus, he didnt retract the old testament...
18I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.
well I know Matthew 5:17, but you quote verses from the old testement which contdaicts with what jesus has said in the new testement.like what you have said about kids in my questioncontroversial marriages
of course the old one counts but the old one is found to be an example to be an introduction to the new testement while the new one has the answers of all the questions. When I have a question I go to the new testement for council because it's jesus talking to me under the conditions of the time I'am living in not under the conditions of 2009 years ago where standerds and situations were completely different.
it's jesus talking to me under the conditions of the time I'am living in not under the conditions of 2009 years ago where standerds and situations were completely different.
You do understand that the new testament was written around 45 AD...so it was written under the conditions of 1,964 years ago...
So the standards and situations were completely different and more in tune with modern lifestyle...
*Smacks forehead* yes, I quoted matthew 5:17 because jesus said he wasnt taking away the laws (and so he contradicted himself then? by changing the laws?) you have noticed the contradictions in the bible havent you?
not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law
so, what part of not the smallest letter are you not understanding? seems pretty clear to me...
