Is killing yourself a sin?

Because I was watching this show last night by these crazy full on christians and it was about this boy who was depressed and got abused and raped by hes family and stuff and it was really sad, and then at the end he kills himself and then 'god' is like...

''thats a sin you couldnt wait till I was ready to take you. You couldnt put up with the pain so now you have to live in eternal pain'' and sends him to hell
And im like what the f**k ?
So my question is ...
If you kill yourself do you go to hell?

according to the bible, my understanding is that it is a sin. if you share the beliefs of the bible, then I suppose it would be a sin for you. if you don't believe in God, then I guess there isn't such a thing as sin. everyone will have their own take on it. it's what you believe deep down that matters.

Depends on what you believe in. Me...I don't believe in that at all. I've read so many things on different religons and such and science books, that I don't believe it.
If someone wants to kill themselves, I don't think it's a sin. They were in pain and needed help and nobody takes them seriously. (when I was suicidal nobody took me seriously anyways.) So all in all, it really depends on what a person believes.hearts;

but I personally feel like if your life is so horrible.
and your in such a state of mind, that you are (for lack of a better word) off enough to kill yourself,
then God has mercry.

I believe that killing yourself is a sin, because God made your body. And God expects you to take care of it. Now, as for hell, GOD DOESN'T SEND PEOPLE TO HELL...

He knows exactly what happened
so maybe he'd have mercy on someone

That's a distorted and morbid view of the christian god. He doesn't WILL anybody to die, that would contradict the concept of 'free will' ...you should consider learning more about your faith before you start misrepresenting it.

noone can be posative accept God however the Bible says your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and you can't take your life into your own hands that is not your decision.

If this statement is true, then what about all those people who suffer from extremely painful, unbearable illnesses and choose to end their lives instead of living every day in a living hell. How can they enjoy this world? Are they really supposed to keep on suffering until God says that it is their time to go? I am not saying that I agree with suicide in any context, but there are some extreme circumstances that really makes you wonder what you would do in their shoes.

IT IS A SIN. Now, as far as qoinq to hell goes.. I don't know if you'll qo to hell if you kill urself...I just know it's a sin. the ONLY unforgivable sin is blasphemy. So, with that said, I don't think you'll qo to hell over it, but I'm not sure.

NO you wont not all know a persons heart and therefore you dont know what his mind was like . I am a christian I dont believe he will only god knows his heart and mind no one can say that about him or any other person that goes through more than they can handle in their life .
