Is it wrong to wear chains to church?

I'm a christian but I also like to have my own style. every time I try to wear my chains to church my parents get all pissy. they do the same thing when I wear my skate gloves. is it wrong to dress like that for church???

I personaly think that you should be able to wear whatever you want to church because I don't think God cares what you wear as long as you worship, but I don't know about wearing that stuff even though I like those kinds of clothes becase people just look at you weird and it's not worth it.

I think that if you want to wear it to express youre style and at youre church people dont like it you should tell them that god made you this way and if they dont like it they can take it up with him!

I'm a christain, and I used to wear Gothy Bagggyy pants with tons of chains and straps! to church. I got tired of people judging me and it didn't really feel like me anyway so now I have another style I enjoy without the stares.
I heard of a church that punks go to. It sounded pretty neat but I don't know where.
God excepts you the way you are. I don't go to that church anymore, the people are too stuck up. I never dress up for my new church and the people don't mind at all =)) I just wear jeans, a shirt and hoodie and converse shoes.

If you are christian and like to attend church and your parents are christian and like to attend church then I think your parents should be quiet and count their blessings that their child shares their beliefs and is willing to go to church without an argument.

hmm I knoe what you mean, I used to wear bangles and all to church and my parents always complain. but you noe the thing is, are just going to church because your parents are making u?

well I just to till I changed and became a true christian and was filled wit the holy spirt. thats when I decided not to weat bangles, and it wasn't because of my parents, rather it was because I respect God.

But truly if its your style, just dress in moderation but remember that your only going to church to praise God and fo no fashion show as my parents used to tell me.

Older people may get a wrong picture because they usually link that sort of style with rebellious punks, so they may label you as such. Personally, I don't think there is anything wrong with wearing chains to chuch, but if I were you, I wouldn't do that -- that way, at least you make your parents happy which is more important I think.

Trust me you cant impress G-d by dressing well, Yeshua never wore a suit and he was the son of G-d so I think your safe.
