if you're listening to a song while you study (no matter the genre), and then you listen to the same song when you work on the subject while you were studying before, it'll be like a reminder and help you on your work happy

Yumi has a point, similar to a friend of mine in nursing school who told us that when she couldn't remember something on a test she would look at the front of the room at the podium. She would envision the instructor lecturing on the particular subject and this would help her remember what she needed to know. Must of worked, she had mostly A's!! Lol
There have been studies pro and con for this. I think if it rlelaxes you maybe you retained more than you think that you do. Everybody has their study techniques, so try it and if it works for you great!! I personally can not concentrate with music or the tv on, really distracts me especially music. I start singing in my head along with the song and soon I'm WAY off trackl I have to have pretty much complete quiet
Try it, it may work for u!!! happy

yes. its true. but thats only if you like it or if you listen to it in class during exam it will help you remember the material easier. studies show that while studying the more senses you use the easier it is to remember stuff for tests. thats why people have study groups and eat food. so when your mind kinda wonders to the study group you remember seeing the people and answers. etc etc with all senses. as much as I dislike some teachers forcing studying its true.

I've heard that listening to classical music will help you. Supposedly the brain learns best when something like pan flute or piano is gently playing in the background and you slip into that state where you are between being asleep and awake. It's really wierd how you also stay awake...
