Is it stupid to want to be famous?

ok well I've always dreamed of going into visual performing when im older. singing, dancing and acting. but whenever I tell people there just like - thats so unrealistic. I really wanr to do this. its not that I want to be famous, I want to be successful but I get constantly laughed at by the people I tell.!

Well, no, wanting to be successful/famous isn't an unrealistic dream.. If I wanted to go into the medical to cure a disease, I'd strive to do so and I'd spend a lot of time in my life trying to develop a cure, it's generally the same thing. If people laugh at you because your dream is to be successful/famous than they're too simple, they'd be the kind of people who will settle with being a secretary for their lives. If you're good at singing, dancing, or acting, make it known that you can do one them. Join your schools acting association, in my school I think it's called SVPA I'm pretty sure most high schools have one, singing take a singing lesson? American Idol? =P Dancing, So you think you can dance? =P Or a dance company I think a lot of high schools have those as well buttt yeah don't let people put you down on your dreams!!! =)

It's definately not stupid if that is truely your dream - you should do whatever it takes (legally/morally) to get there - get knocked down, get back up, dust yourself off, and go again - but stay realistic - going in you know odds are against you - you may not be capable of attaining that level - keep your feet on the ground and Listen to constructive criticism and make a plan B and C (just in case)...I wish you the very best !!
