lol, my parrot kinda got lonely once we got my dog... she's more quiet and honestly doesnt get as much attention as she used to (everyone dotes on the dog).
So yeah it is something to keep in mind... unless the parrot is free flying, it is easier to give the dog more attention, I mean s/he can follow you around...
It's up to you though... you just need to find a balance
