Is the real thing starting to happen?

Okay. So me and my ex are really good friends right now.. he's helped me through a lot with me reciently breaking up with my other boyfriend.. [ex now too] and I've helped him when he broke up with his girl not too long ago.. We talk a lot and he always talks about how he really cares about me, and never wants to lose me and things like that.. So me and him have been hanging out lately and the other day we ended up making out and he fingered me.. but now I found out he's also trying to work things out with his ex girl.. so where does that leave me..?? Is he just using me to screw around with? or does he actually want to have a real thing with me..? what do you think..?

If hes trying to get back with his ex, then he probley doesn't want the real thing with you. Sounds like hes using you as some sort of place holder, that sucks.

Boys tend to do that sort of thing. It's like in every guys manual of how to function. If he is trying to work out things with his ex then the odds don't look to good for you. The way I see it is, you two have already had this kind of relationship so for him to just jump rite back into it isn't hard or akward. Girls look into things more, but for guys they seem whats there at the time, and tend not to think about whats going to happen in the future. sorry sweety but I'd keep my guard up around this guy if I were you.

well NOT every guy is the same, there are a lot of guys out there who do think about the future with someone. I dont know the guy so I would say he's either...
1: useing you for whatever he can get untill he gets back with his ex.
2: (which I think is most likely) keeping his options open because he doesnt know which one of you he wants more.
3: just playin both you and his ex untill he finds someone else.
4: useing you to try and get over his ex incase she doesnt take him back.

my advice in this situation is stay friends but definatly keep your guard up, dont do anything with him untill your sure he wants u, otherwise it could all end badly 4 u.

so maybe not all guys but when they are young they don't really know what they want.. Same for girls so don't get me wrong. It all just really depends on the person.
