Depends on your perspective, I think. People should be free to watch what they'd like...however, they should also make sure that they don't encourage or allow children & minors to watch inappropriate TV shows.
I grew up on the Canadian boarder. At the time Canadian stations showed a lot more than American stations. There was nudity in lots of shows (even Benny Hill on Canadian TV had some nudity that was cut out when the same show was showed on American PBS stations). Late night one station would even show soft-core porn. The violence on Canadian TV was sometimes more intense and realistic than the very choreographed violence on American TV.
Somehow Canadians never seemed harmed by being less censored. They have less crime and less teenage pregnancy than the US inspite of more permissive TV.
Americans are provincal and prudish. Of course now almost everyone has cable and racier stuff is available on cable though broadcast TV is still heavily censored.

Is censorship on tv too much or not enough?

Is censorship on TV too much or not enough? Shows nowadays seem to be pretty lude yet I have heard many people who think that the TV is still too censored.
