Is Anise Tea bad to give a 3 month old?

Answer #1

Dear alexnfran1206, Anise has been used for years to relieve gas and indigestion. But do not give it to a child. There are other properties in the anise that can cause side effects. It is also use for relation, muscle tension etc. This can be very harmful to a small body. Sue…good luck

Answer #2

I’d ask a doctor before giving anything out of the ordinary to your baby, not only because it could be unsafe for a baby, but there’s a chance of allergic reaction.

Answer #3

I don’t believe so!! You should ask your babies peditrician about it before you do – but I doubt it because they say your baby should ONLY be drinking formula for the first 5 months & then they can start on juices etc. but if there’s a certain reason you’re wanting to give it to her then it shouldn’t harm her as long as its only about 2 ounces.. && you probably should treat it like juice && dilute it with water !

Answer #4

We never tried anise tea with our baby but we did find this product called gripe water. Gripe water really seemed to help my daughter when she had tummy aches, gas pains, etc.

Answer #5
