Yes... the oligarchs have pushed their agenda since they have held sway. This is why bankers get bonuses... no matter which party is in office... and Washington/Wall St. outsiders get the boot.

We are witnessing the takeover of America by fascists... thinly veiled by the facade of socialism. It is laughable.

Wall Street has been given self autonomy and trillions. Congress has just now decided that a handful of oligarchs get to dictate how TARP or other rescue money is spent by the companies receiving. In other words... the inept... self serving... cartel that caused financial ruin are the adjudicators we get to lay our livelihoods on.

There are two parties in America today... The Haves... and the Have Nots.

The Haves are an elite group of super rich internationalists that have the vast majority of politicians in their pockets. The democratic-republican party are in their employ. Few in number... they enjoy the rare amenities of life and usually exert no effort in acquiring them. Haves do not fear the condition of the economy... they will be bailed out at all expense... their numerous houses and possessions will not be repossessed.

The Have Nots are many in number and vastly underrepresented in positions of power. Unfortunately many Have Nots are under the delusion that those in the employ of the Haves actually give two sh!ts about them and have their best interests for the future in mind. Have Nots toil daily with the belief that those in the employ of the Haves are busy righting the wrongs that have thus far only furthered the gap between the Haves and Have Nots. Promises are good enough for Have Nots. Have Nots espouse the rhetoric of either the Haves or those bought by the Haves. Haves understand the concept of divide and conquer... unlike the obfuscated Have Nots.

Given this new criteria of party affiliation... which party do you belong to?

P.S. If you say either Democrat or Republican... you've no need of the lobotomy that awaits the rest of the Have Nots.

No...

Actually I take that back. I think the GOP budget presented last week definately put ideology ahead of economic recovery.

Yes. The ideal that is being put forth is when government really screws things up, government is smart enough to fix it. Trust us.

Funny: Bush's grandfather helped an aborted coup d'tat on the government to install a fascist regime...seemingly, W helped that along (patriot act, etc) and now Obama, after his own fashion, is tackling another end of the fascist plan.

However...Bush gave away money with no strings, at least Obama is putting some kind of limit on the money (eg, we need to know where it goes etc).

Yes very much so...This so called economic stimulus that just went through is completely irrevent with putting hundreds of thousands of dollars to pointless things and having no basic rules in lamens terms for what the states or companies can use the money for hence the 6 million dollar bonuses for AIG and 2 million dollar request from vegas for a sign. These are unrealistic terms that will not and obviously are not helping us.

This new found socialist some what fascist new way of thinking will surely further deepen our debt and weeken one of the strongest countries in the world...If everything on the agenda goes through I dread the future
