Parents won't let me get a job

ihave been wanting a job since iturned sixteen [ october fourteen 2007 ] and during this past spring break my friend had gotten me and application to work at an icecream store...my mom let me fill it out and everything and when she mentioned it to my dad...

he said no and said that iwas going to want to drop out of school and all this stuff, and saying how he wants me to work after ifinish highschool or watever. ireally want a job now [ summer vacation ] but idont want to ask my parents becasue iassume they'll say no :/ so what should ido? iwas also thinking that since this is my last year of highschool that maybe ishould wait to get a job until the spring because ill be more than halfway through the school year and my they'll let me. what do you guys think ishould do?

Maybe your parents are right.I'm 15,and I had a job.And Let me tell you,its not as easy as it sounds.Its hard to keep up with school work [[especiallyy in high school!]] and work at the same time,which is why I quit.

Plus,your in high shcool.These are the last years of your life to b a kid while you can,because out of highschool comes college,and the jobs where you actually have to work,hah.
