do you think ? Should they be allowed to marry and live a normal life ? I think if its love then why let law get in the way of it yea ?

I think it's a good thing they lost because I think people who have family relationships like blood family are confused and love the person but aren't in love and there are problems that arise with children that are born through incest especially in brother in sister not so much other combinations but honestly I don't really have a problem with it

It's not as uncommon as you would think. The BBC produced a documentary not long ago, Brothers and Sisters in Love, that recounted several stories of adult siblings meeting and falling in love, the German couple included.

Personally, I think the laws serve more as an official moral barometer than as an actual deterrent, but as they serve to protect against innocent children being brought into the world with developmental difficulties, they do have a decent purpose, even if they are practically unenforceable.

It's all moot with regards to the German couple anyway. Last I heard, the sister had ended the relationship and married someone else.

I think it is kind of gross because they came from the same family. But they met when they were 15, and 14, so they really didn't know that they were related I guess. If they love each other, then it's whatever. But it's just different for me I guess.

I would really have to agree if love is love then why not.. I think the small picture that incest is frowned upon like eww there related needs to be looked at bigger. I don't believe you should be allowed to marry that close of relations. I think it is wrong for blood relations to be together but even more so from a medical point, relations where you share genes and what not is dangerous to the unborn child you may want one day. You can have birth defects that could cause many problems for your children and pass it on through genergations, I don't think its healthy to be with someone you share any dna with. And yes I know we are all god children we are all related some how la de da but if you can help prevent something like this you should be resposible about it, and if you do decided to be with a family member then don;t bring children into the world adopt if need be.
