How to do a teammate press in fifa 08 for ps2?

I own PS2 - I do NOT like the new FIFA 08 rules to activate teammate press. It states to use L1 to make your teammates press, on defense. This is wrong, bad move on the designers' behalf.

How can we use the old button, the X button on PS2,...

to activate teammate press?

Is there an old controller selection anywhere in the new FIFA 08?

Help!

I know for Xbox 360, it's still X to activate it...but I don't have PS2 so it's hard to say if there's an option to change it. Knowing what I know about consoles, there probably isn't a way to change it to the old button. It's probably best to get used to it this way unfortunately.
