How to go about moving out?

im 17 and want to move out ill be 18 this year and would like to have my own space how do I go about moving out?

Answer #1
  1. Make sure you have a job that is sufficient enough to pay the bills
  2. Search for apartments for rent - be picky, and ask lots of questions (for your first apartment, you might want to find something that is already furnished)
  3. Once you have paid your security deposit you can start calling to have services hooked up (electricity, heat, phone, television, internet) - set the hookup date on or after the day you move in
  4. Pack your belongings
  5. Move in and buy groceries
  6. Start looking for furniture that you can afford

If you’re going to be living on your own, I have one very important piece of advice for you - pay your bills in full every month…failure to do so will set you behind and make your life very difficult (this is your credit rating you’re messing with).
