Get your tongue pierced, does it effect your talking

When you get your tongue pierced does it effect your talking much ?
And what are ways to make the swelling go down ?

After the swelling has gone done there will be no problm with talking at all perfect speach!!

Emm when I got my tingue pireced the best way to let the swelling go down is take anti-inflammitories and also I used to such ice!!!

afer the swelling goes down, you should be fine.. its like having a ball on your tounge. you get used to it...

yes it can, but only for a few days.
youll probably have difficulty pronouncing the words s and c.
the swelling will go down in around 3 days or more.
they also take up to 1 year to heal, so its not advised that you change the peircing for at least 6 months

Yeah, it will effect your talking until the swelling goes down. It takes some longer then others for the swelling to go down. When you go get it pierced, the person will answer any questions you have about it.

Hi I am own a tatto and body piercing studio in South_africa, the best way to get the swelling down is with anything cold, it takes approx 3 days for the swelling to go down. After that you can change the bar with a shorter one but please do not take it out in the first 6 months and leave it out for a few hours as the hole will close. For the speech if wont be affected. Please let a pro do the peircing as it is one of the places on your body that is dangerous to pierce.

it actually depends on where the piercer pierces it, if they do it too far upfront yes there is a slight lisp if he does it in right before th vein that is under the tongue you will have no problem. The whole swelling thing will make you talk differently but just chew on ice, dont use too much listerine unless it is diluted with water. the stuff I recommend at my piercing studio is Biotene. It works the best. Always brush it after you eat and swish mouthwash, to keep it from getting infected.

ok I just got my tongue pierced on friday it is monday now and yes it will effect yours talking... your tongue will get swollen and it will be hard to talk... I still can't talk right and it has been three days... but its worth it is kinda cool after its done

My frined got her tongue pierced and her speech was only effected for a day. I guess everyone heals at different times, but most people don't have their speech effected forever.
