Im 15 going out with a 19 year old...

ok im 15 ima sophomore and im going out with a 19 year old hes a freshman in college.
We have been going out for seven months. we havent had sex and he ecepts that I want to wait to untill im at least 17 or 18. whenever he tells anyone thatasks him my age they freak out and say its wrong to be going out with me. he says he tells them hes not going out with me for the sex reason but because he loves me very much. does anyone agree with me that age doesnt matter?

sure. AFTER YOU'RE 18 it doesnt matter. You can be 18 and he can be 99. That is legal. But a minor with an adult is ILLEGAL.

Why can't he date girls his own age?
There is a HUGE difference between a 19 yr old and a 15 yr old.

There is not much of a difference between a 19 year old and a 23 yr old.

Just this past week there was a story on the front page. Some 19 yr old went to his 14 yr old girlfriend's house and shot her parents because she had a curfew. Then he took the girl 2 states away. She went willingly. (She's 14 for god's sake! Of course she'd have a curfew! Was it really neccissary to kill the girl's parents?)

Minors are impressionable and I believe that is the reason why the law is in place. Hormones are raging. It is easy to talk a minor into sex and a lot of other things.

I just read this and I gotta say I totally understand!! thnx so much for puttin this up here b/c im 14 and my boyfriend is 19. im one of those people who doesnt think age should matter as long as you really love eachother...and anyway it makes since that you want an older guy since gurls are more mature anyway.

I totally agree with the whole age thing b/c im going to be 16 and dating a 19 yr old and we're in love! AGE DOESNT MATTER just as long as your not having sex b/c my b/f called that police and asked them if he could date me and they said as long as your not having sex! SO ITS NOT ILLEGAL ENLESS YOUR HAVING SEX! That is true we are more mature, thats why he's with me b/c im very mature and plus the girlds that are his age arent very mature!

No!!!!! age doesn't matter. You can't choose who you fall in love with. Plus give it a few years-He'll only be 24 when you're20.

Age Doesnt matter, This is a case sensitive subject, I myself am 19, I have dated, but not had sex with several girls younger than me, I've learned that there are girls that are begging for sex (for attention, and popularity), the girls that think losing their virginity before mariage is a SIN (either religious, or just 'prude' weird girls that no1 would have sex with anyway...), And there are girls that don't care about it. 'If it happens, it happens'. The Girls that say 'If it Happens, it Happens' are allot more mature than either of the other two, because they don't deny the fact they are adolessents and lack some self control, they just admit that they are only human, teenage girls who can lose their control when too much pressure is put on them to be a certain way.

when I was 15 I was seeing a 21 year old, altho I look back and think I was a lot younger then I don't regret it. I'm now 18 going out with a 24 year old. its the same age difference altho it's a more adult relationship. but as long as your parents know and are ok with it, and he treats you well dont worry! the hard times will come when he wants to go to bars and clubs and you cant go, now thats tough!

.. its fine.. I have gone out with 19 year olds, I like older huys.. I thnik anythiong over 4 years when your a minor is retarded but if its not for the sex then have fun with the relationship
