Dear voterperson,
Because you posted this question I'm assuming you take objection to your mother's response. Rule #1 do not buy others clothing...Clothing is a very, very personal choice and even young children have preferences and recommended to allow them to choose their own. It's even more personal for adults. Rule #2 when you ask a question be prepared to get the answer if you like it or not. Your mother was being honest with you. Your thoughtfulness is wonderful and you sound like a generous person but things like clothes and makeup are rather a personal choice. I'm sure your mother appreciates your gestures and perhaps next time you can purchase her something a little less personal.
Sue...good luck
Ummm... mabey just not buy your mother any clothes and take the blouses she does not like to a charity bin
hope it works out
sue90 I luv it when people buy me clothes buit I only do because everyone I know has a great sense of style

THIS MORNING AT 9:00AM - My mom telephoned me to ask me a question
Mom: “Did you get my refund for the two extra puddings the store clerk charged me”
Voterperson: “Yes. How is the blouse you are wearing”
Mom: “Beautiful”
Voterperson: “Mom were you saying the blouse wasn’t pretty”
Mom: “NO I NEVER SAID THAT”
THIS MORNING AT 8:00AM:
Mom: “How does this blouse look for today for work” (It was one of the blouses I bought for my mom yesterday)
Voterperson: “It looks beautiful. Mom since we are talking about clothes, were you saying that the you did not like the blouse or it was not pretty”
Mom: “All I said was don’t get that blouse for me”
Voterperson: “But mom it is the way you said it you held the blouse up and said, gee this was washed”
Mom: “Yes, all I said was don’t get the blouse for me
YESTERDAY (LATE AFTERNOON). I went to the 99 cent store today. I bought 7 clothing (tops) items for me. And three blouses for my mom. My mom loved the 10 items, but then the following conversation took place
Voterperson: “Mom here are a few others I want to show you I bought two days ago”
Mom: “I don’t like this one, and this paisley one looks like someone wore it, it looks washed”
Voterperson: “I don’t care that it is washed or worn before, it is still beautiful”
Mom: “I wont wear anything that someone else wore, it could have been on a corpse, you don’t know where it has been”
Voterperson: “Mom are all you saying is that you wont wear anything that is worn”
Mom: “Yes, I would never tell you what to buy”
