If palin were a democrat?

woofstock Asked by utopia about 1 year ago, 20 answers.

If Palin were a democrat would the Republicans still be praising her for her experience and her un-wed daughter? Extolling her virtues at every breath? Raising her up to rock star status?
I doubt it.
I think they would be blasting her for her LACK...

of experience, Lack of core values and that they would be holding her up as an example of a bad mother...
Just like Bill O'shutup did to Jamie Lynn Spears parents by calling them pinheads for raising a daughter that became pregnant and then having her marry the father. Yet he praises Palin for being in the exact same position.
Would they wonder why ALL women weren't willing to vote for her? Would they be encouraging the Republican women to support her because she is female?

What about it?

if she were a Democrat, would her good looks be forgiven?

Her looks is not what is being questioned. It is her stance on important issues, her complete lack of experience, and her questionable ethics. All very important questions for any candidate.

Yes, there have been some who have joked about her looks, but there are those on both sides that will make petty and stupid comments. Ever listen to Rush, and some of the other wingnuts, when they talk about Dem politicians? They talk about their looks all the time. Mark Levin calls Hillary her thighness. Wouldn't you call that petty?

well they are supporting her, and they are kinda pushing the baby thing under the carpet, no they wouldnt support her if she was a democrat and they would just call her a bad parent etc etc.
thats why I like the democrats more, and BTW Palin is nothing but a commercial thing, I dont think they will let her enoy the vice pres position if (in hell) the republicans win...
anyway OBAMA for pres!

me I dont swing either, im not a democrate or a republican I like who I like, so if she was democrate yeah I would still like her, as far as the baby thing that is NONE our business, its family issues and we have no business in it, tho' I find it really odd that people put her down b/c of her daughter yet they praise bill clinton...doesn make much sense, so its ok for bill clinton to bang others while he was in office behind his wifes back but its not ok for palins daughter to do it?? wrong is wrong, wether who does it, anyways would I still like her yeah, but the way it looks we are screwed over wether obama or mccain gets it

Conservative don't know how to think critically. They are told by their lying, corrupt leaders what to think and how to vote, and never look at any issue critically. Just look at the quality of posts you see coming from them on here. No details, just meaningless platitudes.

Well, they may not extoll her virtures quite the same as they are now...but I don't think you'd hear all the petty and bi*chy rants that I've heard from the more liberal crowd...It's one thing to disagree with her policy...but I hear as many cracks about her looks, as her political stands...pretty petty stuff.

So an equal question...if she were a Democrat, would her good looks be forgiven?

I do not care about her looks except for the fact that I find it strange that McCain passed over MUCH MORE QUALIFIED slightly older, less attractive females for the position.
I care that she thinks god wants us in this war, that god wants the oil for us, that she has little experience, NO foreign policy experience, that she is against Roe v. Wade, opposes sex education, knows little if nothing about the economy, etc.

Phrannie, I am a political junkie, and watch a lot of news, even FIXED News, and I have never heard quotes from bloggers talking about her looks. I have heard some comedians say things, and have seen stuff on here and other websites, but I have also heard even more stuff coming from the right talking about personal appearance of Dems.

If Palin were a Democrat she would put on their side the only reason to currently vote for the ticket, But someone that shows a positive view on most things, wouldn't be a Democrat. As my additional comment read an item I bloged on StumbleUpon

Frequently in debates a faultier, stammer, tired look or showing of aggravation can not only sway the outcome of a debate, but indeed an election. I am less concerned about the outcome of McCain vs. Obama debates than I am at the aftermath of the Palin vs. Biden debate. There isn't a question about the outcome, but what comes next will be a surprise if it doesn't happen. I've heard third hand that a DNC source has indicated Joe Biden will be coming down with an illness some two to five days later and withdraw in favor of Hillary. This seemingly will solve Obama's problem with his problem.

If I'm wrong I don't mind looking foolish. However it is within his camps M.O. to do this. It might even work if I can't get the idea out to enough people. More than one can be devious.

Jaygermaine, are you suggesting that Biden will have trouble debating Palin? Cause if you are, you will be very surprised. Biden is no empty suit. He will make Palin look extremely foolish. And your prediction is utterly ridiculous.

Obama = Raised by a radical muslim grandfather

Huh? He was raised by his white mother, and his white grand parents. Neither were muslims.

Biden = No one even knows who he is

Biden is not known to people who don't pay attention. I think you need to start paying attention because he is going to be your next VP.

Obama+Biden = One country who wont know which end is which and will surely fall into the hands of radicals.

You know fau, just because Blimpaugh, Sean Insannity, and the rest of FOX Noise tell you something, doesn't make it true. In fact it most likely isn't.

Try doing a little research once in a while.

I answered this question some time ago with a sounding impossibility of the occurance. Not speaking religiously,, Sarah Palin has a strond oppinion of right and wrong. It may not be her prefferance to have problems in her household, but that by no means translates into abondonment of your life or family. You don't have to be the cause of family troubles, but that doesn't amount to a disregaurd of your inclusiveness in the solution if there is one.
