I want to be closer with my religion

how do I become closer with my religion being a christian ...??? I want to love god and be apart of him..he has helped me through so much

communicate with God. (pray). think maybe about giving just a prayer of thanks...and thanking Him for all that He has done for you.

I'm trying to get closer to God this summer as well. Some good ways are to read His word and talk to Him a lot. Pray even about the small things, like when you lose something. It's amazing how much God comes through for you in even the smallest ways. It also helps to get connected with your church and volunteer or join a group. A group of peers to talk about your faith and such. It really helps to have people your age to walk through life with. Hope this helps! :]

Prayer is the best way to get closer with god!! you communicate with your friends to get to know them better, so why not communicate with god? =)

To start out, read your scriptures, attend church on a regular basis, get involved in church activities, serve others in the community, try to develop a strong relationship with others in church.
You can build up a strong testimony by, reading your scriptures, and go to some kind of either bible study that your church might have and become more active. Maybe you can sit down with your Pastor and ask if there are any activities that you can get involved in. Your church and Heavenly father Jesus and the Holy Ghost can be like family like mine. I love my church, and, since I've been a member, I've became more closer to the faith then what I was previously which I happened to be Lutheran which I'm not anymore.
I love my leaders in the church I belong too, and all the members. We're all brothers and sisters. So, I hope you can take the suggestions I wrote above.

He is right there...He is with you right now!!! You already are closer to Him than you realize because you said, He has helped me through so much...You have seen His Hands on your life...When you talk to Him, have faith in what He is doing for you, and depend on Him and trust in Him for everything...you are showing Him how much you LOVE HIM!!! When you know without a doubt in your mind that He is taking care of you, that is the most awesome love that you can show Him. And that is when He can show you how much He loves you!!!
And I know this from my own experience...It's all about the relationship with Him...
I just love the song...I think the title is...I Come to the Garden Alone...
And sometimes we just have to be still and listen for his voice...
