How can i get my parents to love me as much as my sister?

I am the younger of 2 sisters. My sister is PERFECT. She is five years older than me and in college. i think my parents like her more than me, and it makes me depressed. what can i do to make them love me more?

wow me too. my sister is 1 year older and every guy likes her better and shes prettier. and she can get her self out of anything. dont worry about your parents loving you more. they love you in your own way. you need to live your life and have fun. you are your own person. parents are just to shelter you until your off on your own. just be yourself and they will truly love you for YOU. dont get caught up in wanting to be more like her. cuz then they wont love you for who you are. they will love her..

i shouldtake my own advice.

be urself and who cares if ur parents prefer ur sister? just live ur life. someday ur parents will realize that u can do the exact same thing ur sister did. and ur parents do luv u. plus, sumtimes its better to go unnoticed because u can get away with more things...

that is practically impossible my dad who is my only parrent loves my little brother 100000000 times more then me and there are many reasons maybee because she is the youngest but its not that they dont love you its just that your syster gets most of the attention asnd you dont but whenever that happens you should go outside with some friends and forget about it all relax, your parrents luv you just as muh

You are not alone feeling this way. Every family that I see who has brother's and sisters at least one feels they are loved less than the others. Your feelings are very normal. Getting depressed makes the situation seem worse to you, depressed people see the world sometimes differently than it really is. Ask to see a counsellor about your depression. The question needs to be asked...were you always depressed and that is why you feel this way? A professional will no doubt help you answer that question.
