I think so but... I also think that you should ask someone that is a witch or a wiccan before you go playing in things like that. Oh and Harry Potter is NOT real. It is pure fantasy. I will tell you one thing, magic is not all light and playful and fun. It is much darker and you should be careful. Remember Karma... what ever you do comes back to you three times.

Wicca is nothing like Harry potter. . . Not even close. . . it is a religion with it's own science (Craft) spells are a series of long drawn out spells with a set of rules to follow. the flying broom story come from some one seeing a ritual (Spell being cast.) in which the people rode a broom around a field showing the crops how high to grow, I think Raymond Buckland wrote that. a spell is little more than a directing of lifes energy. Also you need supplys and tools such as colored candles An athame cords in some cases a sword. . . if you call Dragons (watchers - Very strong forces in nature.) just for samples, the craft is not simple to learn. first you have to have a really good understanding of the religious side of the craft I'm talking a couple of years of studying then you will be considered a novice and may be welcome into a coven if you hold your beliefs in secret. Wiccans are basically plain ordinary people with every day jobs. About 85% of the people claiming to be wiccan don't really have a clue. I can show you about 17 in my hometown, I can also show you the one person in my town that is the closest thing to a wiccan he's into shamanism. A good comparisan of your idea and understanding of wicca is equal to what the TV series mash is to the actual Army. . . . . . Not to worry you have a lot of folks with you. . . in some ways modern wicca is much like buddism. . . . its a peaceful religion but historically it like other religions of ancient origan is has left a blood trail. . . . I always found it odd that one of the tradions of the religion has a god dying and being reborn later ancient egyptians Osiris or the Celtic Cernunnos (a stag horned god of the Celts and very popular amount witches/ wiccans.)
But if you really like spells that work best and only work when the motive is right then I suggest you use a well known form of spell. . . Pray! to God above, I do

From a Christian perspective yes spells are real but they should not be performed. Just like Christians pray to God for answers so do witches to their gods. But the truth is there is only one God and there is Satan, the father of lies. Don't be deceived because demons disguise themselves as angels of light so what may sound good really isn't. The bible tells us not to perform witchcraft. Would you want pray to God for your answers or pray to Satan? 2 Timothy 3-4 says 'For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have an itching ear, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.'I believe you would be putting a curse on yourself for trying spells. The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good - Proverbs 15:3. I wouldn't want to be on God's bad side. So pray to Jesus, the name that is above every name.

wicca isn't like that. it is argued whether or not spells actually work, or you think they do [I personally think they work]. but be careful, wiccans are white witchs, and if you mess in something that you shouldn't you can put yourself in some bad situations. my advice to you is don't mess around with spells and things you don't understand. there is much more to it than you know. if you are 100% serious, talk to someone that is wiccan.

I dont think I want to do spells now because if I mess things up ilke I said im a kid so I could realy hurt people but is there a way to make brooms I've got a kinda broom shame bit of wood that is quite big but a bit small and I would love to fly that would be AMAZING !

hey I wont to be wican but my mom thinks they are all satanists and believe in the devils magic but I know that my mom is very crazy the wiccans I no believe in growing closer towards their nature side. which personally I wont to do. I go to secret meetings during lunch at school that way my momo will never no. all we do is meditate and learn of nature and enhance or ability to understand the right of nature so please dont blow everything out of porportion like my mom its not fair that I have to hide half my life to her. also most the wiccans who CAN cast spells dont becuase all they care about is getting to now the real side of things they don't wont to hurt people or curse anyone. one of the wiccan things we say is 'all good a person does returns in threefold in this life, harm is also returned in threefold.' this being said we just like to have peace and get to now ourselfs better.

You don't have to be Wiccan to be aware of nature, After all God Gave mankind the world as his domain and we are responsible for it.

I am wiccan and we are nothing like harry potter. Yes we can cast spell but not by just waving a wand. We can not fly on brooms. That is a tradition that is from england where when you get married you get on a broom and you a lifted. It is a fertility ritual.

I my self am a wiccian. you can fly on brooms. but if you do so, your putting your life at risk. meaning you do not want anyone to catch you, or fly during a thunder storm. yes we can also cast spells and some wiccians have wands. I have one. you are supposed to use it for defense, but no one follows that rule. I do not follow satin. I believe in god.

yes wiccans can cast spells but you can't become a wiccan over night and if you want to be a wiccan you can not tell all of your friends and you have to study a lot about wicca and no you can not fly on broomsticks that is so foolish and you have to know about wicca inside out so you have to STUDY ABOUT IT OK.

I for one is a wiccan,yes you can cast spells!But you first for them to come you have to STUDY!!!For a 1year and a day.That is what some believe it whould be wise I didnt learn to cast spells overnight either!So the best advice I can give is to study and when you feel that you are right(no,this does not mean study one ritual and then say im ready!!!)yOU CANNOT FLY ON BROOMS!!!ok?I hope this was helpful.
